1. Request Submission
By submitting a request for a quote, you (the Client) agree to provide accurate and complete information regarding the required services. FracomUX reserves the right to decline any request that falls outside our scope of expertise.
2. Preliminary Estimates vs. Firm Quotes vs Discovery Quotes
- Preliminary Estimate: Any initial pricing discussed via email, text or phone is a non-binding Preliminary Estimate.
- Firm Quote: Following an initial interview and assessment, FracomUX may issue a proposed Statement of Work (SOW) with a Firm Quote.
- Discovery Quote: In complex cases, a more involved professional assessment may be required before an accurate, realistic Firm Quote can be issued. In such cases, FracomUX may propose a fixed-price Discovery Statement of Work with one deliverable: a proposed SOW and Final Quote for the work requested.
3. Discovery Engagement Fee
If FracomUX determines that a paid Discovery Engagement is required, then the following conditions apply:
- The fee is due prior to or on the first day of the Engagement.
- This fee is non-refundable regardless of whether the Client proceeds with the service following Discovery.
- If the Client accepts the Final Quote within 30 days, the Discovery Engagement Fee will be applied as a credit toward the final invoice.
4. Travel Expense Reimbursement
In addition to the Engagement Fee, the Client agrees to reimburse FracomUX for all reasonable out-of-pocket travel expenses directly related to on-site visits.
- Mileage: Billed at the IRS standard business rate (72.5 cents per mile for 2026).
- Other Expenses: Includes airfare, lodging, meals, and local transportation.
5. Intellectual Property & Confidentiality
- Ownership: FracomUX retains all rights, title, and interest in and to any project plans, designs, or technical specifications developed during the quote process. The Client retains all rights to their intellectual property in existence prior to engaging FracomUX.
- Privacy: Neither FracomUX nor the Client shall share any names, phone numbers, email addresses or other protected information to a third party.
- Restricted Use: The Client may not use or disclose any part of the provided quote or plan for commercial purposes or to solicit competing bids.
6. Quote Validity: Unless otherwise stated, all quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance. After this period, prices are subject to change.
7. Review and Acceptance
Following the Assessment whether or not it included a Discovery Engagement, FracomUX will provide a Final Quote and Statement of Work for the Client’s review and acceptance.
